The 300-ton crawler crane set the E-501 heat exchanger bundle (38,000 lbs at 72 ft radius, lift plan LP-0212), landing it at 1:40 PM after a 2.5-hour standby waiting on the area hot work permit. Pipefitters made up 8 welds on the rack 3 steam line; insulation continued on E-502 and scaffold was built at E-503. Extra work was performed at rack 4 at the owner’s request on T&M ticket 0417. One near miss, no injuries.
